SMEs clusters, producers of construction materials, national and regional associations of builders discussed with national Ministry of Environment and the regional sections of Urbanistic, Public works and Energy about the critical issues in the use of sustainable materials in the ecological renovation of public buildings with a focus on the indicator “indoor air quality”. Inputs for this discussion was the recently developed national GPP criteria, the experience of the ECOMAKE initiative and the good practices BAUBOOK. Framework for the working table were the recent Communications “Resource efficiency opportunities in the building sector” (COM (2014) 445 final) and “Strategy for the sustainable competitiveness of the construction sector and its enterprises” (COM/2012/0433 final).
